Mike Toomey 83rd Legislative Session Update: HB 3276
House Bill No. 3276 will make it mandatory for insurance companies to provide coverage for the screening of autism spectrum disorders in children 18 to 24 months old. This requires all state insurance Health Benefit Plans to include coverage for children who are diagnosed until the age of nine. Treatment providers are required to be state licensed and certified. This bill was passed on May 21st of 2013, and will be enacted on January 1st of 2014.
